Plain English. We tell you what we collect, why, and what choices you have.
We collect information you give us (when you fill in a form) and basic technical information (when you visit pages). We use it to match you to law firms, to improve the site, and to keep things working. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the law firms you've asked us to share it with, and with service providers who help us run the site.
Information you give us. When you fill in our consultation, contact, advertising, press, or submit-firm forms, we collect what you type in: name, email, phone, city, the legal need you selected, and any free-text description.
Information collected automatically. Like virtually every website, we receive your IP address, browser type, the page you came from, and the time of your visit. We use this for security, fraud prevention, and aggregate analytics.
Cookies and similar technologies. See our cookies policy for the specifics on what we set and why.
Law firms. When you submit a free-consultation request, we share that request with the firm in your city matched to your selected legal need. If you opt in via the form's "okay to share with one or two more firms" checkbox, we may also share with up to two additional firms in the same city and practice area.
Service providers. Form delivery (Formspree), web hosting, email, and analytics. These providers process your information only to provide their service to us, under written data-processing terms.
Legal compliance. If we receive a valid subpoena, court order, or similar legal demand, we will comply to the extent required by law. We will, where lawful, notify you first.
What we do not do. We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it. We do not share it with data brokers. We do not allow third parties to use it for their own marketing.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We do not discriminate against users who exercise privacy rights.

We keep consultation requests for as long as needed to operate the directory and respond to follow-up inquiries — typically two years — and longer where required by law. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
We use industry-standard safeguards (HTTPS for all pages, encrypted database storage, access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Do not include sensitive case details in any form on this site.
